Hi, I’m Daniela - lover of white space and easy, meaningful user experiences.

As an end-to-end Product Designer, I define and untangle complex problems, connecting user needs, compelling aesthetics, and strategic business goals to craft intuitive, meaningful, and elegant user experiences that just work.

From product strategy, early discovery, user research, IA, and UI wireframes, through hi-fi mockup presentations, asset production, and collaboration with engineering and UX QA to ensure design fidelity, I’m holistic and hands-on advocating for the user every step of the way, while always keeping business goals in focus.

Well-versed in Apple's UX conventions and patterns, I have extensive experience with macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and responsive web apps, and have dabbled in watchOS, and 10ft UI.

I’m a strong team player, detail-obsessed, and love to ask questions and tell stories.

Following my passions

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I combined my two great passions — travel and design — by earning my degree in Visual Communication from the Massana School of Design in Barcelona, Spain. 

In my senior year, I was selected from 1000+ students to participate in the European Packaging Seminar hosted by AssiDomän, a paper company based in Frövi, Sweden. I also won first place in a design contest for the corporate image design for IMEB, the Municipal School District of Barcelona.

After interning for Swiss designer Hans Zimmerman, I returned to the Bay Area, where my career has led me through small start-ups, freelance design, and companies such as PayPal, Yahoo!, Apple, and Roku.

All the while, I have travelled the world exploring design trends, architecture, languages, history, art, photography, dance and culinary delights, in ardent and never-ending pursuit of cultural enrichment. Ask me about my adventures!

To mix things up a bit, I'm working on getting my black belt in Tae Kwon Do, learning my sixth language (Swedish), have dabbled in flamenco dancing, and I'm a U-Jam instructor - hip-hop dance fitness blending world beats with urban flavor. #UnitedWeJam!
